SEX Selection before pregnancy…Girl or Boy?!
Under normal fertility conditions, the chance of having Boy or Girl is 50-50%.
There are different ways to do sex selection. two of them mentioned below:
- The chance of having baby with each sex, boy or girl can increase due to the environmental conditions of mother body.
- The second way is done by laboratory experts, infertility clinics and Genetic labs.
Nowadays there are various ways to do sex selection such as:
IVF and Micro-Injection, too expensive ways with higher probability of success.
But also there is a cost-effective way to do this test called IUI.
In this process, after giving sperm sample by a couple in the laboratory, sperms with X or Y chromosomes are separated by different methods.
Concentration gradient method is used for separation in many of these techniques.
